This interview of Grandma Holder (Dad's grandma) was taped on reel-to-reel by Dad, sometime early to mid 1960 (before August). I seem to recall hearing that this was taped in Wyoming, although it is possible Dad could have taped it in Colton, California, where Aunt Pearl (and Grandma Holder) resided (833 Valencia Drive). At the time of taping, Grandma Holder was turning 86 in August of 1960. Dad was 28 years old, and Mom was 26 years old. Lee Kurt was turning 5. You can hear him talking some at the beginning of the interview. Liese was 3. Larry was 1. He's the baby crying at the end of side B. Aunt Pearl also talked, and asked questions in addition to Dad's questions. She was 56. Grandma Holder died 5 years later, in 1965. She (and Aunt Pearl, and several other Holders) are buried at the Pleasant View Cemetery in Dacoma, Oklahoma. http://www.okcemeteries.net/woods/pleasantview/pleasantview.htm Lee Kurt converted from reel-to-reel to cassette tape (I think in the 1980's). I am not sure where the original reel-to-reel tape is. Larry Holder August 30, 2017
