This is another collaboration with Lena, who has also written with my friend Elton Smith at Songs of Praise. Lena sent me the music, and I added the lyrics. Once again, I like the reflective nature of the music that Lena has composed. |
When I Think of Jesus Music by Lena Kittrell Words by Larry Holder Copyright © 2004 Lena Kittrell and Larry Holder (verse 1) When I think of al lthe ways He has blessed me There is no doubt the Lord is my Friend. I rest upon His promise: This grace I've known shall never end. Thinking back, now, to the day that He saved me There is joy I cannot explain. His grace and mercy found me And by His grace, I'm born again. Now Jesus guides me through the darkness And He guides me through the day. I'll never fear I've been forsaken For Jesus is with me each step I take. (verse 2) When I think of all the joys of the journey More precious now than silver or gold I'm glad that I have chosen The Way of Life, as time unfolds. Then one day, the Lord will call me to heaven There to be forever with Him. All tears and pain forgotten; His perfect peace will never end. The stars above declare His glory Far beyond what words express And I am here to tell His story Of mercy, deliv'rance, and holiness. (Ending) When I think of all the ways He has blessed me There is no doubt the Lord is my Friend. I rest upon His promise: This grace I've known shall never end...
